On 10 September 2026, the Center of International Education and Cooperation with the participation of Deans and Heads of educational and professional programs held a reporting meeting with students who had taken part in the Erasmus+ academic mobility program at partner higher education institutions in Europe and Türkiye during the 2025–26 academic year.

The students shared their experiences at the University of Strasbourg (France), one of LUTE’s key partners. According to the participants, their experience in France was both a real challenge and a source of inspiration: a new language, a new pace of life and new challenges that helped them become more resilient and independent.

Equally vivid were the impressions of students who spent a semester at Opole University of Technology and the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Kraków (Poland). The exchange participants highlighted not only the quality of teaching but also the opportunity to immerse themselves in a new academic environment, discover different approaches to learning and build valuable connections with students from different parts of the world.

Participants in the exchange programme at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (Slovakia) also shared their experiences. Cooperation with the university is carried out through its Faculty of Science and Institute of Computer Science. The students highlighted the high standard of technical facilities and the openness of Slovak lecturers to cooperation with international students.

Particular attention was paid to the experiences of students who studied at the university in Sakarya (Türkiye). The exchange participants spoke about the combination of longstanding traditions and modern approaches to education, the warm attitude of the local community and the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the country’s culture from within.

Despite differences in languages, traditions and curricula, all the participants shared one important conclusion: their Erasmus+ experience was not simply an additional line on their CVs, but a genuine school of independence, openness to new experiences and confidence in their own abilities.

The Center for International Education and Cooperation of Lviv University of Trade and Economics sincerely thanks all the participants for their openness and inspiring stories, which will undoubtedly serve as a valuable reference point for future mobility participants. The University will continue to expand its network of partnerships with higher education institutions across Europe and around the world, opening up new opportunities for students to learn, develop and grow personally

As part of the Erasmus+ academic mobility program, during the second semester of the 2025–2026 academic year, Georgina Lenyo, a student majoring in “International Economic Relations,” had the opportunity to study at EM Strasbourg Business School at the University of Strasbourg.

This experience was extremely valuable to me in terms of both my professional and personal development. The program took place in an international environment, where I was able to deepen my knowledge, learn about new approaches to teaching, and gain practical experience working on academic projects.

I particularly appreciated that the educational process combined theoretical training with practical assignments, teamwork, and active interaction between students and faculty. Classes took the form of discussions, analysis of real-world business cases, and collaborative problem-solving, which helped develop critical thinking and skills for working in international teams.

In addition to my studies, participating in the Erasmus+ program gave me the opportunity to experience French culture, discover new cities, make friends from around the world, and create unforgettable memories. Interacting with people from different cultures helped me see many things in a new light and was an important part of this experience.

I am sincerely grateful to the University for the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ program and study at EM Strasbourg Business School. This semester has been a time of new knowledge, professional growth, interesting encounters, and vivid memories that will stay with me for a long time.

What stories can old manuscripts, incunabula, and other unique books stored in library archives tell? A new project by the Pontifical University of John Paul II seeks to answer this question, aiming to promote history, culture, and science by exploring the University Library’s exceptional special collections.

As part of the project, a series of ten short film episodes has been created, presenting fascinating artifacts related to the history of Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. Viewers will learn the stories hidden within the pages of manuscripts and early printed books, and discover how these valuable literary artifacts help contemporary researchers better understand the past.

Issues related to the region’s multicultural heritage, including the history of Catholics, Armenians, Jews, and Eastern Rite Christians, occupy a special place in the series. The films also highlight the significance of ancient books for the development of science, education, and the preservation of the shared history of the nations of Central and Eastern Europe.

This is a unique opportunity to view history and culture through the lens of the extraordinary treasures preserved in library collections and to discover how much they have to say to today’s audience.
