DITEL International Project Consortium Meeting

From 1 to 6 September 2026, a meeting of representatives of the universities participating in the consortium of the international project DITEL – "Supporting the Digital Transformation of Higher Education in Ukraine: Creating a Network of Centers for Innovative Learning and Research" – was held in Katowice (Poland). The consortium brings together higher education institutions from Ukraine, Poland and Latvia, combining Ukrainian experience with European practices in digital innovation and the development of educational capacity.

Lviv University of Trade and Economics was represented at the meeting by Tetyana Shtanko, Head of the Center of International Education and Cooperation and Yuriy Myronov, Professor of the Department of Tourism and Hotel&Restaurant Business. The participants discussed current and pressing issues related to the implementation of the project, further areas of joint work, the development of international cooperation, and practical steps to strengthen the digital transformation of higher education in Ukraine.

An important event during the meeting was the signing of a cooperation agreement between Lviv University of Trade and Economics and the Silesian Academy (Akademia Śląska), one of the DITEL partners. The agreement creates additional opportunities for developing academic contacts, exchanging experience, implementing joint educational and research initiatives, and strengthening international cooperation.

Agreement

The participation of Lviv University of Trade and Economics in the project is an important step towards further digitalisation of the University, the development of an innovative educational environment and the expansion of international partnerships. It also contributes to the modernisation of the Ukrainian higher education system in line with contemporary European approaches.
