On March 17-21, 2025 Head of the Department of Foreign Languages professor Nataliia Kovalyk and senior lecturer of the same Department Halyna Vozniak within the framework of the cooperation agreement between Lviv University of Trade and Economics and the University of Strasbourg took part in the Erasmus+MIC Teaching Mobility academic mobility program at the Louis Pasteur Institute of Technology (University of Strasbourg, France).
The University lecturers met with Sandra Rebel, Director of the European Mobility Department and Erasmus+ Coordinator of the University of Strasbourg and Mareva Zaim-Sassi, Manager of International Credit Mobility Programs; Pia Kessler, Director of the Lansad structural unit of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the University of Strasbourg; management and teaching staff of the Faculty of Management, Business and Administration (IUT Louis Pasteur) Jean-Claude Millon, Amandine Mathieu, Richard Stemplowski, Esma Exousse, Christophe Erch and English teachers (IUT Louis Pasteur) Laura Schudy, Mati Farkilla, Melanie Lopez and Rob Siemens.
As part of the program representatives of the University conducted practical classes with students of IUT Louis Pasteur majoring in Business English on the topics “Global Business speaks English” and “Entering the Global Job Market”. The reaction of the students at the Q&A Session meetings was interesting, where they had the opportunity not only to get acquainted with the presentations about Lviv University of Trade and Economics, Ukraine and Lviv, but also to get answers to the most sensitive topics for every Ukrainian.
It was extremely pleasant to see among the students of IUT Louis Pasteur Anna Safronchyk, a student of the second (master's) level of higher education, who is studying in Strasbourg under the semester student mobility program within the framework of Erasmus+ at this educational institution. By the way, Anna is enrolled in a French-language program, and her English language skills were highly appreciated by her French colleagues.
It is important to emphasize the assistance in the opportunity to participate in international academic mobility programs, in particular at the University of Strasbourg and its structural units, colleagues from the Center for International Education and Cooperation of LTSNU and personally Natalia Demchuk (Associate Professor of Foreign Languages) for the professional level of language training of our students enrolled in French-language mobility programs.
It should be noted that the study and exchange of experience in teaching foreign languages in higher education institutions in Europe and Ukraine will certainly contribute to improving the quality of teaching the educational components of the Department of Foreign Languages.
