From May 12 to May 16, 2025, Head of the Department of International Education and Cooperation Tetiana Shtanko and Dean of the Faculty of International Economic Relations and Information Technologies, Professor Yulia Poliakova visited Pavol Jozef Safaryk University in Kosice (Slovak Republic).
During their stay, the representatives of the University got acquainted with the basic principles and features of the organization of the educational process in the European academic system, the work of structural units, and participated in discussions on international cooperation. The possibilities of further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between educational institutions were also discussed, with special attention paid to the use of innovative teaching methods, digital technologies in higher education, curricula and teaching methods, in particular in the Computer Science program.
In addition to the purely educational component, the meetings became a platform for the development of international cooperation between higher education institutions. Preliminary agreements have been reached on organizing joint scientific conferences and publications; developing academic exchange programs for students and teachers; holding guest lectures on both sides; and signing a bilateral agreement between the faculties.
It is worth noting the openness and interest of the foreign partner in expanding cooperation with Lviv University of Trade and Economics, especially in the current challenges, when support for education and science is not only a professional but also a humanitarian aspect of solidarity.
