On May 19-20, 2026 the Thematic Summit on Physical Sciences & Engineering, Social Sciences & Humanities, and Energy was held in Kraków (Poland) at the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre of Jagiellonian University. The event was organised as part of the international RIFF (Research Infrastructures for the Future of Ukraine) project – an initiative aimed at restoring and modernising Ukraine’s scientific infrastructure and integrating it into the ERA (European Research Area).
Mariana Myronova, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations and Head of Young Scientists’ Society took an active part in this summit. She participated in panel discussions on the integration of Ukrainian universities into the European Research Area and the prospects for the development of Ukraine’s research infrastructure.
The experience gained and contacts established open up new opportunities for the implementation of joint scientific and research projects, academic mobility, the development of international scientific cooperation, and the strengthening of Lviv University of Trade and Economics’ integration into the European academic space.
