On March 30, 2023, the head of the Department of Finance, Banking and Accounting of Czestochowa University of Technology (Poland), professor Jolanta Hluska, gave an online lecture for Master degree and PhD students on the topic "Accounting System in Poland".
The students received in-depth knowledge that forms professional competences and program learning outcomes under the "Accounting and Taxation" educational program of the second and third levels of higher education. In particular, they got acquainted with the current system and legal regulation of accounting in the Republic of Poland. The implementation of changes in the International Financial Reporting Standards and EU accounting requirements caused great interest among the applicants.
Particular attention was paid to the procedure for preparing and submitting financial statements and the obligation to audit and publish consolidated statements of companies, joint-stock companies, banks whose activities are regulated by the legislation on investment and pension funds, as well as other business entities that meet certain criteria.
The students of the "Accounting and Taxation" educational program and the scientific staff of the Department of Accounting, Control, Analysis and Taxation are sincerely grateful to professor J. Hluska for a meaningful and interesting lecture and look forward to future meetings with her.
