In the period from October 6 to October 16, 2023 Anastasia Sushynska, the student of the "Tourism" specialty took part in the Study Tours to Poland (STP) program in Gdańsk (Poland).
The purpose of STP was to present various aspects of life in Poland, the mechanisms of systemic changes and modernization, as well as the experience of being present in European structures. The program emphasizes familiarity with the non-governmental sector and various forms of civic activism.
During the program, participants from Ukraine and Moldova met with leaders of public life in Poland, government officials, including the heads of the cities of Chmielno and Kartuzy, professors of the University of Gdańsk, representatives of the student self-government of the city of Gdańsk and studied other forms of public activity.
The participants also received information about the work of funds and structures of the European Union. In addition the program made it possible to deepen knowledge about Polish culture, in particular, the topics of emigration and the socio-political movement "Solidarność".
In addition to formal meetings, numerous integration and educational workshops aimed at developing leadership qualities and social and communication skills of the participants were held and certificates were received.
