On October 10, 2024 within the framework of the two-year international grant project of the Visegrad Foundation "Experience sharing of V4 against the shadow economy, corruption and tax avoidance in Ukraine", the hybrid workshop WUEB2024 "V4 + Ukraine experience in reducing corruption and fraud" took place, which was organized by Wroclawsky the University of Economics and Business is a partner of the Lviv University of Trade and Economics.
The results of research by scientists from Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (Poland), Prague University of Economics and Business (Czech Republic), Ambis University (Czech Republic), Lviv University of Trade and Economics (Ukraine), Pryashiv University (Slovakia), Kyiv National University named after T. Shevchenko (Ukraine), Mendel University in Brno (Czech Republic), Debrecen University (Hungary), Association of Accountants of Poland.

) took part in the discussion of a wide range of problems: tax control as a tool for combating tax evasion in Ukraine; tax evasion: causes and consequences for Ukraine; differences between the V4 accounting system and the Ukrainian one (fraud detection); study of the problems of taxing the income of natural persons-refugees; MCDM analysis as a potential tool for detecting the shadow economy, corruption or tax evasion; digitalization and AI in taxation in Hungary, etc.
Involvement of students in the international scientific discussion contributed to the formation of their general competences, in particular, the ability to make decisions and act, observing the principle of inadmissibility of corruption and any other manifestations of dishonesty. Listening to reports in English made it possible to strengthen language competence.
